Cliff Richard, born in India in 1940, is a British pop singer. With his band The Shadows, he had hits in the 50s and 60s, and was a leading figure in the "British Invasion" of the US charts. He also acted in films. In the 70s and 80s, he continued to have hits and became a prominent Christian, releasing gospel music. Over 60 years, he has sold over 250 million records and was knighted in 1995.
